Seeking Revival should be a pleasure not a penance!



I don't say this lightly there is too much superficial frothy activity in the Church that we pass off as Christianity, all that said seeking the glory of God in our midst should not be hard or a burden it should be a pleasure, the reality is revival is just normal every day Christianity it is the way we should be all the time not just some of the time. If we are saved going hard after God like an Olympic athlete should be our main focus! when we get home from work or school or even Church we should just have a deep desire for Him for Jesus our saviour this should never be a chore when we meet together it should not be a battle to come into His presence it should be the desire of our heart to always be with Him get alone with Him with the Word of God with a Hymn book and worship Him the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

Repent and Pray for Revival Ireland

The more I study revival the more I gain the impression that God wants to send revival all the time and what we call revival is the way Church should be all the time! If this is the case all of us have a real call and duty to repent, not on behalf of our nation not on behalf of our forefathers not navel gazing at the sins that were committed down through the centuries..... but getting on our faces before God and crying out for forgiveness for what we are doing now that prevents revival.... we need to repent we need to pray and seek Gods face we need to get back to the cross back to the bible and above all seek more of Jesus in our lives to live is Christ, be filled with all the fullness of God....we must decrease and Christ in us must increase.

Jesus said "Whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die." this verse spoke to me clearly as I read it this afternoon we must be living in Christ in other words Christ dwelling in us and us in Him this is revival it is about being filled with Christ, living in the fullness of the Holy Spirit. When we get to this state we are living a revived life we need Jesus we need Christ in us the hope of glory..... Then we will know revival in Ireland when the whole Church becomes full of Christ!

"ministries of discernment"

If a move of God were to happen in your midst would you notice or would you write it off as emotionalism or even worse a work of the enemy, sadly this has happened on many occasions and seems to be happening again today. In the the church today we have an abundance of so called "ministries of discernment" these seem to have a purpose of pulling down and criticising in front of the world what they see as false of heretical. I have even heard men preaching in the street against ministries they disagree with! I thought we were called to preach the gospel. The sad fact is that many of these self appointed inquisitors have not personally been to the meetings they are condemning, from comments that have been made they certainly have never read the history of Revival through the centuries, if they had they would keep their mouths shut, they would realise that manifestations like jerking of the body laughter prostrations and other strange phenomena are quite common in revival. The most important aspect of any move of God is the salvation of souls again we are seeing this along with healing and deliverance. Another point is if you have something against your brother should you not go to him personally with your problem and confront him face to face not by gossip about or slander him, I recently heard a preacher who said something I believed was clearly wrong on the light of Gods Word so I challenged him on it he recognized he was in error and that was that. I have a word of advice for the discerner's of deception close your ministries and your web sites, get on your knees before the LORD and ask for revival real revival, then get out and preach the gospel to a lost and dying world believe me you will see more benefit from this than from your bitter tirades against men, fallible fallen men doing the work of God.Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel!
