Shaking before revival?

As we look around the world we see a great shaking taking place, the great financial institutions and banks are being rocked to the core, governments seem powerless to act jobs are evaporating as we watch on in amazement, mighty men are being humbled greed is being exposed and materialist capitalism is being shown to be a sham. There is even talk of the US government defaulting on its debts!
As these things have unfolded I have just started reading a book called "The half can never be told" this book is about the great revival in 1857-59 that shook America and Ireland and Britain. I was amazed to find that before the revival broke in New York the American economy had just been subjected too the same sort of financial melt down that we are in the midst of now!
So instead of panic and despair the believer should be falling to his knees to beg God to do it again and send revival to our land come Lord Jesus come!
